The sea breeze (thermal wind), blows mainly between May / June through to September and is amazingly constant, generally blowing between 12-22 knots side-onshore, from the right.
Our 100m-wide sandy beach offers enough space for “stress-free” kite launching. The water in front of the centre is shallow for some 50 meters as there are many sandbanks.
Our Expert Zone is right next to the Skyriders Teaching Area, and is open from the 15th June to the 15th September. To use this zone you must have an upwind riding level" and the use of a safety system, like a kite leash is obligatory.
This zone is designated for launching and landing kites only.
The zone is marked with buoys; every user of the zone MUST enter and sail out through this channel. For safety reasons the amount of kite surfers using the zone may at times be subject to limitation.

No restrictions are applied before or after the above dates, except those of our Skyrider Teaching Area.

We offer daily kitesurfing instruction from the beginning of the Season starting on 31th March 2012.

Courses for all levels are held directly in front of the centre in our private, kitesurfing-only teaching zone.
Our motivated kitesurf staff are all certified IKO and FFVL instructors.
Our international team can provide lessons in Spanish, English, French, German and Dutch.

Skyriders Golf de Roses has its own Authorized Kite-school Zone right in front of the centre. Our lessons are held in a separate area on the beach (and in the water).
